Tentworks Brings Tycoon Management Game 'City Block Builder' To Kickstarter To Fund Its Hindi Localisation
New Delhi: Bengaluru-based Tentworks Interactives has approached Kickstarter, a funding platform for creative projects, to fund its initiative of localising the Tycoon Management City Block Builder game in the Hindi language. With this initiative, players of the game will get an opportunity to bag exclusive rewards and deals. At the same time, the scope of the game can be expanded.
People can play the game on their PC through an Early Access Launch slated for late 2021. Tentworks will gain the rights to acquire and produce more music from the 1950s. The game will be localised in additional languages such as Hindi. The rewards include art books, merchandise, concept art illustrations of themselves, among others.
“We truly believe in the potential of India emerging as one of the leading gaming countries. The next growth in gaming will come from internet users from the vast expanse of Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities and towns in India. Hence, building capacities to publish games in Hindi and other regional languages become that much more important,” said Jay Basani, Founder and CEO of Tentworks Interactive.
What Is City Block Builder?
The game is a tycoon management game where large-scale city building elements have been combined. The game is set in Los Angeles during the 1950s.
It also features the glamour of Hollywood. The City of Angels represents the "American Dream" at its most ideal, and the game rightly captures the essence of the pop-culture capital of the world.
All forms of businesses can be erected using City Block Builder. Cinemas, restaurants, theatres, jazz clubs can be customised by the player. The player has full control of each business and can change the furniture and lighting at his or her convenience.
The crowdfunding effort will allow the players of City Block Builder to enjoy an immersive experience due to the introduction of additional music, and further language options, the company said.
